A Very Edifying Seminar

I hope you had a chance to attend last weekend’s seminar. If you think this was “just another seminar,” it means that you were not there.

Not only does Kim Wall, our speaker, have a talent for making his presentation interesting, he also uses an easy to understand approach that enables everyone to grasp the complex subject he’s talking about.

Evolution vs. Creation is a debate where many Christians are willing to compromise. I, myself, have made compromises in order to reconcile what the Bible taught with what scientists were proposing. I can say, however, that after last week’s seminar, these compromises are finished. I am convinced that the Bible should be taken literally. It’s simple, when there are discrepancies between the Bible and science, it is man who is in error, not the Bible.

I learned many things that will permit me to refute the theory of evolution in the future. I have always been able to defend the idea of creation theologically, but I am happy to now be able to refute evolution from a scientific point of view.

It was interesting to see that last Friday evening there were more visitors present for the seminar than members (31 visitors, 29 members). Of course, we made an effort to invite visitors but our own members could have benefited greatly from this seminar as well had they come.

This was a very edifying experience for me as it was for all who attended.
