Some unknown author once said, “If you wake up in the morning and are still breathing, congratulations! You have another chance.”

I find that this saying is quite Biblical. How many times have you done something and said to yourself, “I would like another chance.”

The truth is that God has not only given you another chance, He has given you hundreds of “second” chances. There is no guarantee that you will receive another but the fact that you got up out of bed this morning shows that you have one more “chance” to repair whatever thing that has destroyed your relationship with God or someone else. After all, this is the real reason why we get so many chances.

Many people ask themselves why Jesus hasn’t returned as promised. God has His reasons but here is what He has revealed to us on the subject:

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” II Peter 3:9

If you wake up in the morning and are still breathing, congratulations! You have another chance. By all means, don’t waste it!
