I Don't Have Time

To do what? To eat, sleep, shower? No because this is essential and you must take the time. What then? To rest when you are tired? Well no because health is precious and one must preserve it. What is it then that you don’t have time to do? To read the paper or watch TV? Surely you will find the time; one has to know what is going on.

You don’t have time to read the Bible!

It is when one encourages you to read the Bible that you answer, “I don’t have time!” and yet, if there is a book that addresses the physical and the moral well-being of man, it is this one. It is a book of wisdom, of good counsel, of comfort and of hope. It is by this book that God reveals His love to us.
You don’t have time to pray!

You run to work each day, you are busy all day. At night you come home tired and you want to relax. You say, “I don’t have time to think of Him.” Of whom? Of your children, of your friend? You would be ungrateful or selfish if it was so... It is of God that you don’t have time to think, of He who gives life and all things; and yet, there is no room for Him in your thoughts.

One day, you won’t have time anymore!

If you could also say, “I don’t have time to die!”... But one day, you will have to leave, and all these things that use up all of your time, you won’t take them with you. As Solomon says, “Naked a man comes from his mother's womb, and as he comes, so he departs.”(Eccl.5:15). That day, you will meet your Creator and you will give account of the way you have lived.

« Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. » (Isaiah 55:6)
